Job roles and our services

Site Engineer:

  1. Setting out – Earthworks, Drainage, Piling, RC Frames
  2. Surveys – As-built surveys, Monitoring, Pre-construction surveys, Topographical surveys
  3. Control – Establishing site control, transfer of gridlines and datums
  4. Quality control – Concrete checks, Reinforcement checks, Implements Inspection Test Plans requirements, keeping records 
  5. Documentation – Ensure relevant site paperwork is in place, production of Work Package Plans, Task briefings, Risk assessments and method statements etc
  6. HSE – Aware of HSE procedures on site
  7. Production – understands drawings in depth and material schedules in order to undertake material call offs and stock checks
 
Senior Engineer:

1. Management of Engineering team – to guide and develop Engineers within the team. Oversee setting out and survey information. 
2. Collaboration – with stakeholders to ensure Engineering activities are planned in accordingly and are correct
3. Documentation – Ensure relevant site paperwork is in place, production/review/approval of Work Package Plans, Task briefings, Risk assessments and method statements etc
4. HSE – Undertakes regular site inspections to ensure H&S is implemented correctly
5. Commercial – Understands basic contractual requirements on project, Submits early warnings and implements any Project Management Instructions
6. Programmes – regularly updates planners on progress
7. Temporary works supervisor – to undertake the role of TWS on site
8. Temporary works coordinator – Optional, dependant on structure of team

Project Manager:

1. Programme Management – Planning and delivery of all work on a site, ensuring project is completed safely on time, within budget and to the correct standard required. Strong knowledge to deliver and ensure contract programmes are agreed, submitted and regularly reviewed with our clients

2. Leading multidisciplinary teams – Engineering, Commercial, Planning and site teams

3. Commercial – Strong commercial knowledge to deliver on the agreed margins on behalf of our clients, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics. Involved in change management. Attend regular contract reviews. 

4. Client Interface – Construct My Project members will ensure we work together as an integrated delivery partner and represent our partners on site. Our Project Managers will build an effective relationship with clients to reflect our partners goals. Regular updates to internal and external stakeholders will be communicated via reporting and meetings.

5. Risk Management – to undertake this on behalf of our clients to ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed regularly

6. Innovation & Processes – Project Managers will always seek to innovate and increase efficiencies in processes for our partners

Project Director:

1. Programme Management – Ensure programmes are submitted to our partner client and regularly updated. Overseeing the overall management and performance of the project including planning, design, construction, programme controls and monitoring. Delivering the project within budget, on time and to the required standard.

2. Leadership – of Project Managers and delivery teams. Sustaining an integrated, multi-cultural, collaborative and high performing team that puts our partner and clients needs first. Ensure teams, roles, skills and behaviour are aligned with our partner clients objectives and project requirements.

3. Collaboration – Effective line of communication with all stakeholders and client partner. Maintaining and developing the reputation of the client partner 

4. Innovation & Processes – Providing strategic direction to the project in line with innovative methods of working and best practice for our client partners. Implementing strategies for delivery, capturing learning to promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.

5. Sustainability & Environmental –  To optimise resource utilisation and eliminate waste where possible. Implement Environmental Processes and ensure Quality Control procedures and systems are in place.

Site Manager:
  1. Planning & Organisation – Control, plan and safely deliver all work on site. Ensuring project is completed on time and to the defined standard. 8 week forecasts to be created and reviewed with Project Manager on a weekly basis.
  2. Progress updates – Monitoring progress periodically against the project plan and expenditure. Weekly report is sent to Project Manager for all site activities. Resolving any issues and escalate any  critical operational issues to the Project Manager.
  3. Leadership – Direct line management of Supervisors and indirect line management of all operatives on site.
  4. Documentation – Working in tandem with the Engineering team and Supervisors to ensure project documentation & risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed as and when required. 
  5. Resource Management – Review plant, labour and materials to ensure resources are in place and to forecast this for 8 weeks. To review this forecast with the Project Manager on a weekly basis.
  6. Problem solving – Liaise with the Engineering team and Project Manager to resolve any technical issues outside of the scope of works.  annum. 
  7. Subcontractor Management – To liaise with subcontractor Foreman to plan in works and reduce any interface clashes with any other works on site to create a safe environment.
  8. Health and safety – Regular site inspections will be carried out with leadership and HSE team. Environmental and COSHH assessments will be carried out with leadership and HSE team. 4 week look-ahead will be carried out.
 
 
Supervisor:
1. Safety – To ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality & cost. All documentation reviewed in advance of particular activities on site with Site Manager. All Supervisors weekly check sheets are to be completed = POWRA, Daily/weekly checks for all Plant & Equipment, Compound Checks, Work areas are safe and have suitable welfare facilities, Briefings and toolbox talks are briefed out to all members of team.
 
2. Management – To undertake assigned activities under the direction of Site Manager.   Delegate tasks to reports & organize the work group. To lead and motivate & develop group cohesiveness.
 
3. Performance review – • Control or evaluate performance of workforce and carry out performance reviews. Ensure all certificates and training is in date of operatives.

Planner:

1. Planning – Fluent in major software usage to create programmes, review and report on. Provide full life-cycle planning support. Review of critical path and advise for any remediations. Review documents, specifications and scopes, identifying contract requires and major constraints. To produce detailed integrated design, procurement and construction stage Contract Programmes.
 
2. Resource and Cost loading – Allocating the estimated costs to the activities on the programme and assisting in the programme’s baselining. Analysing Earned Value Performance on the project. Developing and communicating of resource requirements necessary to meet the demands of the project timescales. 
 
3. Programme Efficiency – Proactively identifying alternative methodologies/sequences that can improve project completion dates.
 
4. Reporting – Production of report progress on all construction phases, foreseeing potential delays and advising of mitigation measures.

Quantity Surveyor:

1. Commercial knowledge – Fluent in various type of contracts such as NEC3 and NEC4. Plan, manage and monitor Commercial activities to meet the Project objectives.

2. Commercial activities – Measurement and agreement of work sections. Pricing of variations, interim valuations and valuing sub-contractors’ accounts. Ensure that these activities are carried out in a way that reflects ‘best practice’. Preparation, agreement, maintenance and filing of records. Preparations of claims (if any). Identifying change and administering change control process. 
 
3. Management of Commercial team (if required) – Ensure development needs of line reports are met and support with the development of the wider commercial function within partner client business. Lesson learnt workshops will be held for the wider team as a way of upskilling knowledge of non-commercial members.
 
4. Contract reviews – Production and reporting of monthly costs. Regular contract reviews to go through cost to date vs cost to complete. Advise project management on contractual implications of intended courses of action.

 

5. Subcontract management – Draft, manage and final account of subcontracts. Regularly reviewing progress with management teams. Close out of any Early warnings.
